Trouser shortening with turn-ups Measuring Guide
- Measure your inside leg length. For most accurate measurements, get help.
- Alternately, pin the garment yourself and try it on. Repeat until you have the length you require.
- Double check: put on the pinned trousers with the shoes that you want to wear them with.
- Triple check: Are the trousers comfortable around the waist? Hand out of pockets! Trouser hems should lie at the top of your shoe heel.
- Measure the new length of the inside leg along the seam from the crotch to the new hem.
- Leave in pins and include the measurements when you post us your trousers, with your online payment confirmation, your cheque or your pre-paid order pack.
Step 1
Tuck the bottom of your trousers inside your leg to the length you require
Step 2
Push a pin through the new seam to hold the trousers in place.
Step 3
Measure from the top of the inside leg to the bottom. All turn-ups are replaced to the correct leg length.
