Skirt Shortening Measuring Guide

1. Measure the length of the skirt. For best results, wear the skirt and get help.
2. Alternately, pin the garment yourself and try it on. Repeat until you have found the required length.
3. Double check: put the skirt on with the shoes or boots you want to wear it with.
4. Triple check: is the skirt worn comfortably around the waist? Hands out of pockets!
5. When you are ready, measure the length of the new drop, in inches.
6. Leave the pins in and include measurements when you send the skirt to us.
7. Tip: Measure from the very top of the skirt right down to the new end length.

Turn your skirt up to the length you require.

Step 2

Slide a pin through at the new length.

Step 3

Then measure from the top of the waist band to the bottom of the new skirt length.

Step 4

Measure the amount of material turned up on the inside of the skirt that is to be altered. For example, the pictured skirt's top to bottom length is 25 inches, and the amount to be shortened is 2 inches.
