Shirt Shortening Measuring Guide

1. For the most accurate results, get help pinning the shirt where you need the alterations, while you have it on.
2. Alternatively, pin the shirt, try it on, and repeat until you have the right alteration measurements.
3. Double check: try the shirt on again. Hands by your sides, straight back, hands out of pockets!
   
4. Measure the length the shirt will be shortened by, from the existing hem to where the new hem will be, in inches.
5. Leave all pins in and include the measurements when you post the garments to us.
6. Tip: all shirts being shortened by three or more inches will need a straight finish. Alterations less than three inches can choose to keep their curved bottom shape.

Step 1

To shorten the shirt, turn the shirt hem up to the required length and pin through.

Step 2

Measure the amount of material that the shirt is to be shortened by (Outside measurement).
